Acceptable use policy

1. Purpose

This policy protects people who scan QR codes, customers, infrastructure and the public. It applies to static codes created with the generator, managed destinations, account activity, automated access and material submitted to support or abuse channels.

2. Harmful or deceptive destinations

Do not use QR Yours for malware, phishing, credential theft, fraud, deceptive redirects, impersonation, extortion, harassment, defamatory abuse, doxxing, unlawful surveillance, sexual exploitation, trafficking, violent threats, illegal goods or services, or instructions primarily intended to facilitate wrongdoing.

3. Spam, rights and regulated content

Ordinary personal and business uses are welcome. Adult or sexually explicit content is not permitted. This content rule does not set an account-holder age limit. Educational materials, school-related uses and general health information are not excluded as categories. Information about an identifiable person's health or other sensitive matters needs the applicable lawful authority and safeguards; general information is different from someone's private records.

Only publish material you have permission to share. Hosted PDFs are intended for accessible links: anyone with the published link can open the file. They are not a confidential document vault. Identifiable health, children's or other specially protected information requires the specific legal condition, authority to publish and safeguards applicable to it, not just acceptance of these terms. Ask team@qryours.com before using hosted PDFs for such records. General educational and health information remains permitted.

Do not use the service for unsolicited bulk messaging, misleading promotions, infringement of copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights, or regulated content without the licences, notices, age gates and controls the law requires. Do not encode personal or confidential information without authority and appropriate safeguards.

4. Service and network misuse

Do not probe or bypass authentication, plan limits or safety controls; access another account; target private networks or local services; introduce malicious code; overload the service; scrape at disruptive rates; create misleading scan traffic; or use automation that harms reliability or distorts analytics.

5. Enforcement

QR Yours may reject a destination, block a managed QR, restrict an account, preserve relevant evidence, or contact providers and authorities when credible safety or legal grounds exist. Immediate action may occur before notice. Payment does not prevent an abuse block. Proportionate review and an appeal path will be used where practical.

6. Reporting

Submit good-faith concerns through the Report abuse page. Include the QR slug or full QR Yours link, the category, a factual explanation and non-sensitive evidence. Knowingly false, retaliatory or automated mass reports are prohibited. For review of an action, email team@qryours.com with the case reference. A review request does not guarantee reinstatement.
